Program Types
Meyerhoff is a skilled educator and public speaker, with experience leading programs for ages PreK-adults. She offers a variety of public programs, including:
-
Artist’s talk. Meyerhoff will give a behind-the-scenes look at how she transforms herself and creates her Zoomorphics photographs. This talk can be customized to focus on how her work relates to the environmental crisis, issues of self-representation, or other relevant themes.
-
Panel discussion. This conversation can be expanded to include not only the artist and representative(s) of the hosting venue, but also local naturalists, teachers, and other community members involved in environmental education.
-
Face painting workshop. Children and adults alike will delight in this multigenerational class, in which the artist teaches beginner and intermediate techniques. The workshop can also be adapted for participants to paint one another’s arms while wearing masks, depending on COVID protocols at the time of the workshop.
-
Transformation demo by the artist. In front of a live audience, the artist will paint her own face and body, become a creature inspired by the natural world, and photograph herself. She will talk the audience through the different paints, brushes, backdrops, and photographic equipment she uses, while sharing tips from five years of transformations.
All of the above programs can be adapted for different age groups.
